A few years ago I was contacted by a marvelous artist, writer and teacher, Michelle Sherman. Having already successfully published her first book, "I Heard You Can Draw", she was looking for a "theme song" of sorts to use on her website to help promote the book, her own art and her wonderful school in Boca Raton. Somehow she found me and we had a terrific conversation. Soon we were hard at work brainstorming ideas and in short order came up with a song we're both rather fond of. Michelle produced a lovely animated video using her own art which of course is brilliantly apropos. Take a look and listen below or click through to watch on YOUTUBE.

Michelle Sherman is a certified K-12 Art instructor, who creates lessons that teach the technical skills needed for drawing and painting.
Michelle draws on her own experiences of being an art student at Bak MSOA (then called the School of the Arts) and Dreyfoos School of the Arts, a summer program in the School of Visual Arts in NYC, a year at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in, as well as her background in teaching art for over 15 years.
As a visual arts teacher at Bak MSOA, she created a rigorous curriculum for 6th and 7th grade art majors. Michelle holds an M.A. in Art Education from the University of Florida and loves teaching art to kids who are excited to learn.
She's also the author of three children’s books: I Heard You Can Draw: A Story for Class Artists Everywhere, I Heard You Can Draw with a Line, and Sarah Visits the Art Museum.
